European Reseachers' Night

On Friday 26 September, Ilayda, Annemarie, Karlijn and Sina from the Bio-subgroup from the Feringa Lab
participated in the European Researchers' Night in Groningen, giving the public an exciting glimpse
into the world of light-activated drugs. Through interactive demonstrations like making tumors
visible with dyes or making beads colorful by light, visitors learned how these innovative
compounds can be used to treat cancer and fight bacterial infections.
The event also highlighted the group’s commitment to inspiring the next generation of
scientists, particularly young women, to explore careers in STEM.
